    I really enjoyed reading your response to Tammy’s case. You summarize what we know efficiently and highlight the Tammy’s strengths and the concerns effectively. Well done!

    One point you mention in your hypothesis that I overlooked is Tammy’s lack of adequate rest. I mentioned she might not have time to recharge at the end of the day, but you hit the nail on the head by stating that she might not be getting enough rest which might be making it more difficult for her to focus in class. You also touch nicely on the fact that Tammy could be feeling socially isolated from her peers over a lack of interaction and socialization.

    I agree with you that the teacher would have to “step lightly around these complicated family relationships”. To what extent do you think cultural differences are at play here? What about the different expectations and perspectives of her teachers? You mention having a conversation with Tammy to see how she feels about life inside of school and out. I also agree with you on this and I think both her parents and teachers haven’t given this much consideration.
